MENSCAPE

WELCOME TO MENSCAPE !

The MenScape group was created in Feb 2020 by published author and public speaker Carl J Ashley.

The group is about sharing ideas and information and is mostly, but not exclusively, aimed at guys who have experienced grief, loss, bereavement, separation, divorce, addiction and depression.

And not just that, but also guys who have a commitment to being the best version of themselves they can be. Personal development is a core ethos in the group and many of us can benefit from sharing and receiving ideas alike.

Mental health, physical fitness, nutrition, education, current affairs, love, women, fatherhood, politics, sovereignty, common law, human rights, philosophy, religion, let's say there are many issues we get to discuss and share!

Thus, the idea behind MenScape was to function as a ‘digital pub’, where we could meet and chat online, during times when regulations and restrictions were fraudulently imposed by the government on the people, but it has evolved beyond that and we enjoy a vibrant and co-operative theme where members are encouraged to contribute and share, as and when they have time!

Online Peer Group and Support Group

The MenScape group was created in Feb 2020 by published author and public speaker Carl J Ashley.

Welcome to MenScape online!

The group is about sharing ideas and information and is mostly, but not exclusively, aimed at guys who have experienced grief, loss, bereavement, separation, divorce, addiction and depression.

Although we are there to listen to one another and provide support, it is more of a peer group than a support group.

The format of our monthly meetings is an open forum where we all have a platform to talk openly without judgement or interruption and then interact freely as we would if we were sitting together at a table in a pub.

During 2020, there have been many occasions where the public was advised to stay home, and restaurants, churches, pubs and places where people could meet together, were all closed down, impacting upon the social and human need for connection.

Thus, the idea behind MenScape was to function as a ‘digital pub’, where we can meet and chat online.

The group has not been actively marketed to date and relies on personal invitations via word of mouth, but with further lockdowns, infringements upon sovereign rights under the pretence of public health and mental health awareness coming to the fore, it would do no harm to share the group with a wider audience and invite members from further afield.

If you are interested in joining us, please get in touch via the contacts page form or email us at: info@thetruthclinic.com

We created a WhatsApp group, and post up the link to the meeting on Zoom. Despite one or two technologically induced hiccups, it has gone well and the format is simple and engaging, for those with the time and intention to contribute. Participants are involved from all over the world and because it is online, location does not restrict us.

There is no pressure to join. Members of the group are free to contribute in the WhatsApp group or come online if they are available. We are all men of the world with responsibilities, duties and commitments, therefore we all have busy lives and some can contribute more than others.

It has been a pleasure to host the group for many reasons and we have had some very interesting meetings!
